Louis Van Lint

About Louis Van Lint

Louis Van Lint was a Belgian painter and major figure of the Belgian post-war abstraction. Born in 1909, he was initially influenced by expressionism before moving towards lyrical abstraction. His paintings are characterised by freer, more dynamic compositions, almost all inspired by nature, and often marked by vibrant splashes of colour. Van Lint was an outstanding colourist, with a public that admired his bold tones. The works selected for the exhibition are a fine example of the artist's most representative period.

Born in 1909, passed away in 1986.
