Kristof Vranken
° 1982
In his oeuvre, Kristof Vrancken investigates the boundaries between rationality and delirium, between desires and social display, beauty and ugliness, nature and culture. He explores forgotten remains of human activities.
The artist develops his photographs with a 19th-century organic mixture of plants and berries, which he harvests on the site of these industrial landscapes. This way, he advocates a more sustainable relationship between nature and human being.
