Lore Langendries creates contemporary jewelry and objects from animal skins. The choice of animal skins and leather as material to work with is very obvious for her, not only because of their tactility and laboriousness, but also because of the age-old connection between humans and animal skins.
The circle also takes a central position in her oeuvre: this purely geometric shape shows the essence of the material and the technique in its most elementary form.
